ALL CLEAR!!!

We made our usual trek to Dr. Rocky's office today to check on Carly's ears...again. Today was the first time in almost 2 1/2 years where we received an ALL CLEAR for BOTH ears!! NO infections and NO blocked tubes! We did not come home to more drops, powders, or oral antibiotics! Sadly, Caroline knows the drill too well after visiting Dr. Rocky so frequently. When it was time to get ready for bed tonight, she said, "I need ear drops." She assumed because she had visited Dr. Rocky today that it was time to start drops again. We were all very happy not to have to do them!!! See you in 6 months Dr. Rocky!!

Good Old Puff the Magic Dragon

For those of you who have fond memories of Puff the Magic Dragon, you may enjoy Carly's rendition of the song. We sure did. (She is a sponge, especially when it comes to music!)

Christmas 2007...Round 6 -Final Round (The other S's)

We celebrated our 6th and final round of Christmas 2007 last night with the Smith's... and we were able to do it before the end of February! Caroline loves her new maid's cart with vacuum, mop, and broom. With the exception of the toys in her room, she always has been a little obsessive compulsive & anal retentive. It suits her well! She stayed up late last night cleaning and started again right after school today! The best part...the vacuum really sucks up dirt! (I may not even have to pay her an allowance for cleaning!)

A new year, a new challenge...

Yesterday (New Year's Day), Emily rolled over for the first time from her back to her tummy, and then back to her back again! Once she figures out she can keep on rolling, she'll officially be mobile! Look out world, here she comes!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

Sunday was Grandma K's birthday. Happy Birthday Grandma!

Christmas 2007...Round 5 (The M's & S's)

Is it still Christmas Day?? We're still celebrating!

Christmas 2007...Round 4 (Grandpa & Grandma K)

Prior to Christmas, we had told Carly that she had to wait until Christmas Day to open gifts. It's going to be difficult for her to understand that Christmas Day really only lasts for one day!! The celebration continues!!

Castles of the Midwest

We made the long trek to visit our family in IL this weekend. To help pass the time on the way, we watched the new Cinderella DVD that Santa had brought. Shortly after watching Cinderella, Carly said, "Look Mommy, a castle!" We talked about how the grain elevators hold all of the corn and soy beans like Grandpa grows, but she continues to call them castles.
