Emily is almost 9 months old, so we thought it was time for an update. She weighs 20 lbs. She is officially mobile! She
scootches more than she crawls, but if there's something she wants, she'll crawl for it. She's none too speedy, but I'm sure that will change in another week or two. She does tend to back herself into a corner on
occasion and has trouble getting herself out. She is also starting to pull herself up on things. She's had one accident at daycare already that caused a black eye and a fat lip; but both have healed. She has 4 teeth: the two front bottom teeth are fully in place and her two front top teeth have just poked through her gums. She will eat anything you put in front of her, usually wanting more than you think a little 9 month old can eat. She prefers finger foods that she can feed herself versus
pureed baby food, but
anything edible is good. (There's a reason she's 20 lbs!) She enjoys watching the dog and her big sister; they're always doing something fun to watch. She loves to swing outside, and is happy to go for a buggy ride anytime. She "talks" a lot, but the only words she really says are "bye bye" and "
da da". She seems to have some of the same ear issues her big sis had, but continues to share her beautiful smile on a regular basis and is rarely fussy. We are blessed to have her and her sister in our lives.
